I grew up in Oaxaca Mexico as a missionary kid. Growing up in another country has been a blessing to me. I enjoyed learning 2 languages and cultures while growing up; I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am a graduate from Asbury college, where I received my BA in Spanish Education. The last two and a half years I have been teaching 7th and 8th grade Spanish in Kentucky.
I have also been working along side my church in Kentucky. While I was in college I worked with the Hispanic ministry. I was able to start a women’s ministry and help out with the children. It was a ministry that filled me with great joy. During the past two years I have been working with a team of people from my church to begin a young adults ministry. It is exciting to see it get off to a good start.
Throughout the years missions has played a significant role in my life. I have been on several missions trips where I had the opportunity to go to Mexico City, northern Mexico, and Brazil. I have also had the chance to help lead a missions trip to Costa Rica. Each opportunity that I have had with missions has increased my passion for missions. I excited to see where God leads me as I spend a year in Ecuador and what the possibilities will be after that.
Please Pray
- as I get ready for my trip to Ecuador (July 2008)
- for the church that I will be working with
- for the financial and prayer support that I will need this coming year
