1. May 27-29, Dr. Mary Conklin from Point Loma Nazarene University is giving her annual lectures on cross-cultural adjustment at the Missionary Training Center. She arrived later than expected, so instead of starting on the 25th, she started on the 27th. Pray for these lectures to be helpful for the missionary candidates as they prepare to serve in other cultures.
2. Pray for Mick and Nora Suman as they finish up their two months of ministry in the Missionary Training Center, and prepare to return to the United States on May 29. Pray also for Tom Sparrow who arrives in Korea on May 27 and is serving in the Missionary Training Center for the coming month.
3. The Korea Evangelical Holiness Church (KEHC) general conference is being held May 26-28. Pray for God’s direction as leaders of the denomination are elected and important decisions are made about the future of the KEHC.
4. Pray for the evening students in the Mission English department leading an English chapel Wednesday evening, May 27.
5. South Korea is in a lot of turmoil after the shocking suicide of former president Roh Moo-hyun on May 23 and the North Korean nuclear test and missile launch on May 25. Pray for God to have His way in this land.
