Greetings from Seoul, Korea! I want to thank you for your prayers and support for my ministry with OMS. Let me catch you up with some of what’s been going on since my last letter.
The spring semester at Seoul Theological University began on March 2; I am teaching English education theories and English communication, and I’m the faculty advisor for the freshmen English students. I’m also leading a group of young men studying The Purpose-Driven Life in English and spending time in prayer. Praise the Lord for a good semester so far and good revival meetings March 17-19. Pray for a good finish to the semester with final exams June 14-18.

Lon and I
I was glad to welcome Lon Osborn to Korea on April 1. Lon is helping with English classes at STU and in churches, and helping with the Adventures in English program this summer. He and another missionary and I are also teaching English to 24 missionary candidates. Pray for him as he ministers here until the beginning of August, and pray for God’s direction for his future.
It was also great to have Bob Warren here from March 5 to 13 to do some training in church multiplication principles with the Church Multiplication Strategy Committee, which is a joint ministry of OMS and the Korea Evangelical Holiness Church (KEHC). Bob and his wife Suzanne will be here again June 2-9 for more training.
Bill and Diana Vermillion were also here from April 3 to 17. Bill is the vice president for theological education at OMS, and he spoke several times at Seoul Theological University and at the Missionary Training Center, and preached in some churches. He also met with several leaders to talk about how OMS can work with STU and the KEHC in theological education.

Again this year, we are preparing for our annual English training program for ministry and missions, “Adventures in English” (AIE), which will be held July 12 to August 2 (including orientation). Praise the Lord for the great volunteers who are planning to come to Korea during that time to help Christian Korean students, pastors, and laypeople to improve their English. Pray for everyone involved to be challenged for missions and grow in their faith as well as their English ability during this time.
OMS Korea and the Prayer Network for North Korea and the Nations (PN4N) are starting an English online prayer magazine, “God’s Heart for North Korea.” You can read the newsletter online or download it as a PDF file at http://www.heart4nk.org.
Some sad news is that my father, Jim Truitt, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer around the beginning of March. I’m planning to visit my family briefly from June 12 to 19. I’ll appreciate your prayers for my dad and for our family.
Thank you for your prayers and support, which keep me working for God’s Kingdom in Korea and around the world. God bless you!
In Christ,
Susan
