Koreans celebrate the Lunar New Year January 22-24. This is the biggest holiday of the year, when families gather together and honor their ancestors as they begin the new year. Pray for Christians to be good witnesses to non-Christian family members during these days.

January 11-17 prayer requests

Praise the Lord for Bob Warren’s good meetings with the trainers of church planters in the church multiplication strategy committee on January 6. Pray for God’s continued direction of this ministry for His glory.

Pray for Susan Truitt to have safe travel returning to Korea from the U.S. on January 16-17.

January 4-10 prayer requests

Pray for Bob Warren visiting Korea January 4-7 to meet with the church multiplication strategy committee for planning and training. Pray that this will result in more people coming to know Christ and being discipled.

Intercede for Seoul Theological University having entrance examinations with prospective students on January 5. Pray for God to lead the students that He wants to study at STU.

December 28 - January 3 prayer requests

With the news of the passing of North Korea’s president Kim Jong-Il on December 17, ask for God’s will to be done in North Korea during all the uncertainty and change. Pray that it will become an opportunity to bring Korea closer to unification and that the Gospel can transform Korea.

Pray for the Korea Evangelical Holiness Church and Seoul Theological University to have God’s direction as they begin the new year.

December 21-27 prayer requests

Pray that God will be exalted as churches share the true meaning of Christmas during this week.

With the big news that Kim Jong-Il died on December 17, pray for God’s will to be done in North Korea during all the uncertainty and change. Pray that it will become an opportunity to bring Korea closer to unification and positive change so that the gospel can transform Korea.

December 14-20 prayer requests

Pray for God’s direction for the board members and trainers of the church multiplication strategy committee meeting on December 15-16 to review past ministry and make strategies and plans for the future.

Pray for short-termer Sharon Minutti finishing her time at the Missionary Training Center and returning to the OMS apartment in Seoul to study Korean and prepare for her next steps in English ministry.

December 7-13 prayer requests

Pray for our last week of English classes at the Missionary Training Center and closing worship and lunch together on December 13. Pray for these missionary candidates as they finish raising funds and prepare to leave for their mission fields.

Pray for students at Seoul Theological University finishing their final exams December 9 and beginning their winter vacation. Many will be serving in churches and going on various missions trips. Pray also for those who are graduating as they look for jobs and prepare for their next steps in life.

November 30 - December 6 prayer requests

Pray for students and professors at Seoul Theological University finishing up the fall semester and taking final exams December 5-9.

Pray for Stephen Mairs interviewing students to join the English dormitory at Seoul Theological University next semester and preparing resources and plans for next semester’s activities.

Continue to pray for Will Purinton and Susan Truitt to recover from their health issues.
