Praise Update

It is with great joy that we introduce Mateo, son of Zoel and Sandra at Naucalpan. He weighed in at 7 lbs 4 ozs and measured in at 19 inches. Pray for Sandra’s recovery from her C-section and an allergic reaction to the anesthesia. Pray, too, for their older daughter, Esther, who has had a high fever and cough.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Leslie studying Spanish in Costa Rica together with Brenda, Darina and Liam. Leslie was recently diagnosed with a small hernia. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and for Leslie as to treatment.

Priscilla, one of the youth in the Marina National church, is struggling with unfair treatment from her teachers. Pray for strength and wisdom for her and her parents as they deal with this situation.

Ernesto, Margaret and Robin’s Mexican father and pastor of one of our church plants, is having surgery to remove a tumor from his pancreas on Tuesday. He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday afternoon and has peace. Pray for the surgeons and for continued peace for the family.

Pray for UNIFAM president, Miguel and for the UNIFAM committee meeting on Tuesday evening. Ask the Lord for wisdom and for resolution of conflicts.

Praise the Lord for the new students studying at SEMBIMEX. Ask the Lord to call pastors and workers into His harvest.

Pray for the sale of the Dave and Jen’s house in Kentucky. This would greatly help them as they prepare to come to work in Mexico.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Gaby, pastor’s wife from Coacalco, whose father passed away this week. Ask that the God of all comfort will be her strength in these days. We praise the Lord she was able to be with him.

We praise the Lord for the safe delivery of Zoel and Sandra’s baby boy on Friday. Details as to name and weight to follow. Zoel works on the Naucalpan team.

Pray for the ECC Training taking place Monday, February 1st.

Praise the Lord for the seeds planted in La Raza from their campaign on Saturday. Pray for the followup of the contacts made.

Pray for Jeff and Laura as they return to the US on Tuesday. Praise the Lord for the positive influence they had on missionaries, pastors and workers alike. They received word on Saturday that they have frozen pipes in Indiana. Pray they thaw quickly and do not burst.

We mourn with the Martinez family on the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother last week. Pray that they will find strength in God’s comfort.

Prayer Requests

Pray for the team on the retreat this week with Jeff and Laura from headquarters. Ask the Lord for rest and unity.

Pray for Sadie as she adjusts to the culture and schedule here in Mexico. Pray for her family back in the UK.

Pray for the seminary students as they finish the quarter, turn in their assignments and take their finals this week.

Ask the Lord for much fruit from the campaign at La Raza on Saturday. The La Raza, Cofradia and Coacalco teams will be going door to door and inviting the people in the neighborhood to a showing of the movie “Fireproof.”

Pray for salvation for Andres, father of one of our workers. Pray for the many unsaved family of our team and workers.

Escuadron 201

Pray for Cesar as he begins pastoring in Tultitlan and his wife Irma continues to cover the churches in Escuadron and Paraiso. Pray that they will both have favor among the people. Pray, too, for their children, Judith and David, as they face many changes in the coming months.

Pray for those who will be coming to work in Escuadron and Paraiso that they will have a passion and love for the people of these areas. Pray for growth both spiritual and numerical.

Continue to pray for Jesica as she has started treatment. Pray for her mom who is not interested in things of the Lord.

Oscar saw a homicide that has left him scarred. Ask the Lord to take away his fear and heal his heart.

Jesus asks for salvation for his children and for healing as he has been recently confined to a wheel chair.

Ask the Lord to be with Juan who is loosing his vision. Juan is a believer.

Cofradia/Izcalli

Pray for Salvador as he continues to labor in the harvest field that is Cofradia.

Pray for Alejandro as he continues with his discipleship course. Ask the Lord to open the doors for his business.

Pray for Gerardo who is going to Tijuana and is looking for a church to attend there.

Ask the Lord to work in Jose Luis’ heart to turn from his worldly ways, back to the Lord.

Pray for the Lord to change Monica’s heart to forgive her sister and remove the bitterness toward her.

Pray for Regina, three years old, who has a doctor’s appointment to try to discover why she can’t speak.

Prayer Requests

Praise the Lord that Sarah (Sadie) Graham will be arriving this week to join our team. Pray for her last days in the UK and for smooth transition to life in Mexico.

The missionary team will be on retreat next week with our supervisors, Jeff and Laura Edwards. Pray for a good time of renewal and fellowship. We will also be visiting and encouraging our pastors and workers in Acapulco during this time.

Pray for health and protection for our pastors and ECC workers.

Pray for Laura Edwards. She and Jeff are to be flying to Ecuador this morning and Laura woke up early with fever and vomitting. She is very weak and they have been unable to change their plane tickets to a later flight. As of the latest update, her fevor is gone. Pray for strength, easy flights and peace for both Laura and Jeff.

La Raza

The La Raza team will be having an evangelistic campaign on January 30th. They are planning on going door to door in the area, along with the teams from Coacalco and Cofradia, sharing the gospel and inviting the people to the presentation of the movie “Fireproof” that evening. Pray for much fruit.

We praise the Lord for continued interest from the young people who are wanting to get off the streets. Pray for Miguel, Jeny and Juanito who have all come off the streets since the first of the year.

Praise the Lord for a job for Alex and Pati’s son, Hansel. Pray that he will make a firm decision to follow the Lord and stop drinking.

Continue to pray for a speedy end to Fidel and Juana’s son, Hugo’s, court case.

Pray for wisdom as the team decides when to begin Sunday services.

Pray for the work being done on the facade of the drop-in-center. Ask that there will be no problems with the authorities.

Pray for work for Miguel.

Pray for Joe as he continues to use his Spanish and asks for more opportunities to share the Gospel. Ask the Lord for salvation for his father in Australia.

Cofradia/Izcalli

Pray for Araceli, one of our house church leaders and a seminary student, who is struggling with depression. Ask the Lord to encourage her heart and give her peace.

Pray for Vicky, another house church leader who is not doing well in her business nor with the leadership of the church. Ask the Lord to renew her vision and encourage her to be faithful.

Ask that the Lord would raise up Oscar to be a leader in his home and in the house church.

Ask the Lord for new clients for Alejandro. Ask, too, that he would be encouraged as he studies the Word and that he would put it in to practice in his life.

Pray for a job for Gerardo and that he would not turn away from the things of God.

Pray for peace for Rodolfo in spite of the circumstances he is facing.

Ask the Lord to lay His healing hand on Regina so that she may be able to speak.
