Pray for Laura and Salvador as they are presenting the Jesus Movie in four locations this week, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 pm.  Ask the Lord of the harvest for much fruit and for growth in the house churches.

Pray for wisdom for Monserat, one of the hostesses for a house church.  Her husband, Enrique, decided at the last minute to cancel the showing of the movie at their home.  He is not a believer and is beginning to put up obstacles for Monserat and the house church.  Pray for his salvation.

Pray for Lizbeth and Esmerelda to grow in the Lord.  Jose Alfredo, Ofelia, and Jaqueline accepted the Lord at the Jesus movie in December.  Pray for continued growth.   Ask, too, for salvation for Jose, Vicki’s husband.

We praise God with Robin MacKinnon that she was able to lead her mom, Anita, in the sinner’s prayer! This is a big answer to prayer. Thank you for standing with Robin in this. Continue to pray for Robin and the family as the minister to Anita and Joe. Anita continues in critical condition but remains at home.

Pray for Leroy Lindsey prayer as he settles in and adjusts to his role in Santa Monica and for his relationships with the ministry team.

Jonny and Julie Pollock ask for wisdom and strength for their new schedule and work in Tultitlan and at the new church plant in Ojo de Agua. They were able to be part of a house visit where 2 ladies accepted Christ. Prayer for these new believers.

Pray for Cleide, wife of Jonathan Villanueva, pastor of the Tultitlan church as she is on bed rest due to a high risk pregnancy.

Continue to pray for the work on the Drop-In Centre. Praise God that kids continue to be impacted though the Centre is not officially open while the construction is going on.

Pray for the two breakfast clubs and one, possibly two, in the planning stages. Pray for God’s provision of finances but more importantly that kids and their families would be won for Christ through the clubs.

Praise God for a successful visit of John Mark and Susan Brabon. Ask the Lord to provide for their funding and for that of the building project so they can return to the work here in Mexico. We praise God for His healing touch on John Mark!

Ask the Lord to provide and care for those preparing to come and serve in Mexico. Pray for David and Jen Sherwood, Nick and Lisa Lakatos, and Leslie and Brenda Reid.

Our hearts are heavy as we uplift Robin MacKinnon and the family as they are in California ministering to her mother, Anita, who is dying of kidney cancer.  Pray for physical and spiritual strength for Robin and for salvation for Anita. Robin is reading scripture to her mother every chance she gets.  Ask the Lord of the Harvest to soften Anita’s heart to His word.

Praise God for the Mexi-Kids programs now going in several churches.  Pray for the children touched by this program and for their families to be drawn to Jesus.

Ask the Great Physician to continue to care for Carol Agnew as she awaits the birth of their baby.  Pray for Andrew and Tabitha as the await the arrival of their new family member due any day now.

Please pray for the plans for the next Marriage Encounter in May.  The work starts this month choosing the team that will be working for this Encounter.  Ask the Lord to guide Kay and Leroy Lindsey and the other leaders in their decisions.
Seminary students start their finals for the Fall semester.  Pray for clarity as they study and write term papers.  Pray for the new students enrolling for Spring Semester.

Pray for Gary Thompson’s last three months on here in Mexico. He has finished formal language and is working full-time with Proyecto MEFI. Ask the Lord to allow him to use the Spanish he has learned and that He will enable and use Gary, in whatever way, to share Christ’s love with the street kids. Pray also as he prepares to go back to the UK that the Lord will clearly show him where He wants him to be and that Gary will be sensitive to God’s leading.

Jonny and Julie Pollock started worked at the Tultitlan church on Jan 20. Pray they may be able to encourage the pastor, Jonathan Villanueva and also that the community will come to know Christ. Continue to pray for their  language studies as they will be using their Spanish a lot more.

Pray for the faith promise Sunday at the Campanario church, January 27th.  John Mark Brabon will be preaching.  Ask the Lord to touch people hearts and wallets as we prepare to begin raising funds for the next phase of construction and ministry.

I just got off the phone with Christian MacKinnon.  Robin’s Mom is home from the hospital but remains in critical condition.  Robin, Amelia (6 months) and Ethan (almost 3) are in California.  Pray for physical strength for Robin.  Pray specifically for Anita’s heart to be softened as Robin reads scripture to her.  Ask the Lord to speak through his Word.

Update on Robin MacKinnon’s mother: Urgent prayer request for Anita. She is in the hospital and going down fast. Robin is flying out today with baby Amelia to be with her mother. Pray for peace and comfort and for Anita’s salvation.  Pray too for Robin’s dad, Joe for his peace and salvation as well. Thank you for standing with the MacKinnons in this time of need. Pray for Christian, Madeline, Joshua and Ethan as they prepare to go to California at a later time.

Please pray for Madeline and Joshua MacKinnon as they return to school. Pray for their adjustment back to the language and for reconnection with friends.

Please pray for the relationships of the women on the MOPS leadership team. Pray that they will grow as leaders of the church and into Godly women.

Pray for Jonny and Julie Pollock. They are going to be part time in language acquisition, working part time. Pray that God will use them and that their language will continue to improve as they use it! They will be ministering in the Tutitlan church. Pray that they will make friend quickly.

Please pray Leroy and Kay Lindsey’s for new assignment as pastor of the UNIFAM Santa Mónica church. Present pastor, Jonathan and Lupita Morton will be moving to OMS HQ later this year. Please pray for the newly elected board of elders of the Santa Monica church. Pray that the Lord will be glorified in this congregation.

Pray for our SEMBIMEX students. January finishes up our last module of the Fall Semester. Students will be writing term papers and gearing up for final exams soon! Ministry assignments for our students is also crucial. Pray with us for open doors of ministry. Pray for new students registering for the Spring Semester!

Thank you for continuing to pray for the follow-up of the November Marriage Encounter.

Robin MacKinnon will be going to California to care for her mom, Anita, from January 20-26. Pray for Robin and for Anita’s salvation and for a smooth trip for Robin, Amelia 6 months, and Ethan who will turn 3 next week.

Pray for Margarita de Rivera. The doctors found a small cyst/tumor on her kidney and she is scheduled for surgery on Jan 26. Margarita is Robin Efing and Margaret Neff’’s Mexican mom and mother of one of our SEMBIMEX students.

Pray for Carol and Andrew Agnew.  Carol’s latest doctor visit said the baby could come anytime.  Pray for Tabitha’s adjustment to the new baby and for safe delivery.

We need prayer that some necessary work will be completed before the Ardmore team arrives on Saturday.  It’s in the hands of the architect and engineer.  Pray that the team will be able to accomplish lots in the Drop-In Centre while they are here.

Pray too for Hugo and Sarai.  Hugo is an ex-street kid and both attend the Drop-In Centre.  They had a baby boy over the weekend.

Pray for the new breakfast club that has started in Chalco.  There were 65 kids at the first event on Saturday.  Pray that many kids and their parents will be won for Christ.  Pray for the planning meeting for the breakfast club in La Loma and that new committed workers will be added to the team.

Praise God for the unity of the Proyecto MEFI team.  Pray this month as they plan out the work with street kids for the months ahead.

We praise God for the safe return of Christian and Robin MacKinnon and family. Pray for their readjustment to life in Mexico. Remember, too, Robin’s mom, Anita, fighting kidney cancer.

Praise God with us for a fruitful and peaceful holiday season. The days before Christmas were jam packed with concerts and special events with many decisions for Christ. The days following were restful and refreshing as we prepared for the activities in 2008. Pray for much fruit in the year ahead.

Pray for the J-term at SEMBIMEX (Seminary Biblical de Mexico). Pray for the students enrolled as they apply what they are learning to their ministries.

Pray for Nestor and Juan Manuel, two English students who have accepted the Lord.  Pray for growth as we follow-up on their decisions.

A 12-person work team is coming to Mexico City from Jan. 12-20 to work in the Drop-in Centre. Before the team arrives a sewer drainage line needs to be installed and as of this writing this has not been accomplished. Andrew Agnew is meeting with the architect to discuss the project. Pray that this will be accomplished so the team can get the work done they are scheduled to do.
