OMS Mexico Prayer Blog

This week brings many changes in our staff. Rebecca Ballentine arrives on Tuesday for 6 weeks, Robin Efing leaves on HMA on Wednesday and John-Mark Brabon arrives for a week on Thursday. Pray for all these coming and goings. Pray, too, for those of us staying by the stuff as we adjust to all these changes.

Pray for those last details for Robin Efing as she finishes packing and says her goodbyes. When she arrives in Kent, New York, she will be helping her mother start building a new house.

Jonny and Julie Pollock need our prayers as they finish packing up their house and preparing to head to Northern Ireland in three weeks.

Pray for Joh-Mark and Susan Brabon as they strive to raise the funds needed for the Seminary building before returning to Mexico. Their target date is September.

Christian MacKinnon and Jonathan Morton return today after meetings in the US. Pray for them as they return to their busy schedules.

Thank you for your prayers for Dr. Bae and his wife for the class on holiness. Continue to cover these classes in prayer this week as Dr. Bae finishes on Friday and heads for the States on Saturday.  Praise the Lord for the work of His Spirit. Pray for continued revival in the churches.

Pray for Robin Efing as she begins HMA July 2. One of the projects she is involved is building a new house for her mother. Pray for good contacts as she raises her funds to return to Mexico.

Pray for the graduation of four students from SEMBIMEX on July 5. There are also 3 students graduating from the 2 yr program. Most are already in the full-time ministry

Pray for Jonny and Julie Pollock as they finish up their time here. Pray for them as they pack.  Pray for rest for Julie as she is expecting their first child and the baby doesn’t want to sleep when she does.

Pray for wisdom and guidance for the Sta. Monica church. The Alpha classes are beginning soon. Praise God for the good celebration of the church’s anniversary yesterday.

Pray for unity with the Marriage Encounter leadership team. Pray for the couples in Ciudad Cuautemoc as they consider starting a retreat in that area

Pray for John-Mark Brabon as he visits Mexico for the seminary graduation and to start looking for a house.  The Brabons are hoping for a September arrival in Mexico but need to raise $100,000 for the seminary project before their return.  Ask Jehova Jirah to provide the necessary funds.

Pray for Jonny and Julie Pollock as they wind up their time here. They leave for the UK in a few short weeks and ask for prayer as they say their goodbyes and finish packing.

Pray too, for Andrew and Carol Agnew, Tabitha and Oscar as they continue there time in the UK. Ask for rest and for the needed funds to be raised in the time they have left.

Christian MacKinnon is in Greenwood this week and next for his first field directors meetings. Pray that this will be a productive time. Pray for Robin and the kids, Maddie, Josh, Ethan and Amelia here in Mexico.

Margaret Neff is feeling some better but is still experiencing a lot of pain from the shingles. Pray for complete healing. Continue to pray for Jonny Pollock’s back.

Pray for Zoel, Diana and Carmen, the team working in Naucalpan mainly in La Loma as they reach out to the lost. Ask the Lord for wisdom and strength. Pray also for the plans to have a conference on the family soon. They are also planning to have a campaign to help the community. Pray for people who are willing to participate and for a good testimony in the community.

Continue to pray for the San Rafael house church to make a serious commitment. The hosts are not always home when they schedule services.

Pray for “hijos de paz” (children of peace) in the neighborhood of las Huertas. The team has begun working there and has had some fruit.

Praise God for Alma and Paty who will begin training this week as they prepare to take on leadership of the new house church in Urano. Pray for those with family problems in the church, that the Lord would meet their needs.

Pray for Alma who recently gave her life to the Lord that He would continue to work in her life that she would truly be free from hate and bitterness and that through her, her family would come to Christ.

Ask the Lord to intervene in the relationship between Alma Lidia and her daughter-in-law Leslie. Leslie is antagonistic to her mother-in-law and needs Jesus.

Pray for Dr. Leroy Lindsey as he speaks at a youth retreat this weekend.  Ask for words of wisdom and lives to be changed.

Pray for Dr. Bon-Chul Bae.  Response to his classes have been positive.  Join with us in praying for revival.

The OMS team has been hit with  illness this week.  Pray for healing, strength and rest.  Pray especially for Jonny Pollock’s back and Margaret Neff’s shingles.

Pray for the Cofradia team as they face some real challenges in ministering to the people. Pray for Araceli and Carlos who are trying to adopt a special needs child. For Maribel as she confronts a friend. For Monserate who is struggling with her commitment to the Lord. And for Rachel who is in a loveless marriage. Pray too, for Laura Sanchez and her family as they deal with some difficult situations.

Praise the Lord for the new house church started in Naucalpan and for the lady who accepted the Lord after that service.

Continue to pray for Dr. Bae from Korea as he teaches on holiness at the seminary til June 27th, Thank the Lord in advance for the revival in our students he has been praying for.

Pray for Kay Lindsey as she ministers to the ladies in her Thursday class.

Praise the Lord for the 50 children who were are MexiKids in Tultitan and for the new people who are attending church on Sundays. Pray for the 5 who gave their lives to Jesus.

We praise the Lord for the three people who accepted the Lord at Marriage Encounter and for the couples in crisis who saw new hope. Pray for the follow up.

Pray for Robin MacKinnon and Julie Pollock as they are on a spiritual retreat. Pray especially for Robin as she seeks the Lord for comfort.

Pray for Margaret Neff as she goes to the doctor today to find out if she has shingles. It has been confirmed, it is shingles.  Pray for quick healing.

Ask the Lord for strength and wisdom for Alfredo Perez pastoring both the Tultitlan and Coacalco churches.

Pray for Jonathan Villanueva as he joins the Cofradia ECC team and for wife Cleide who is due to deliver their third child any day now.

Pray for Troy and Jenny Gentry as they return to the States and working on their funding.Praise the Lord that David Sherwood’s dissertation proposal was approved and all his class work is done.  Pray that he will be able to finish the dissertation and graduate in December.  Pray for He and Jen as they work on funding.

Scott Brabon is graduating this week from high school in Kentucky.  Pray for him as he decides on a college and for his parents, John-Mark and Susan as they finish up funding to return to Mexico in September.

Pray for the follow up from the Marriage Encounter weekend. Praise God for the lives changed during this retreat.  Pray for unity for the ME leadership team.Pray for growth in the Santa Monica church. Attendance and giving is down from last year.
