Coacalco

God is working in amazing ways. There are four new house churches in January and two decisions for Christ this week.

We praise the Lord for his touch on Alfredo’s mother. She had cancer surgery and you prayed. She is back at home and healing well. Pray for complete healing from the cancer. His father has Alzheimer’s. Pray for grace for this family.

We thank you for upholding the families of our workers. Pray for Socorro’s parents. Her mom’s eye is doing well and they are thinking about scheduling surgery for the other one. Her father is a bit weak but getting stronger. Avril’s parents are embarking on a new ministry. Avril is feeling better but is struggling with the side affects of the medicine.

Alan is working with a group of alcoholics. Pray for leaders to help direct them to the feet of Jesus. He also is working with three families and is preparing to start two house churches this month. Pray too for his wedding plans.

Pray for the involvement of the lay people and their commitment to the “Multiplication and Plantation of Churches”. Pray too for the training the team is doing in the church and with the potential house church leaders.

Mex-i-Kids is starting in San Carlos. Pray for the preparation and for much fruit.

The Reids

reids.jpgPray for Leslie and Brenda, their daughter Darina and son Liam. They are in the process of raising the funds necessary to join the work here in Mexico. Pray the funds come in quickly.

Pray for Brenda’s health. Ask that the Lord will touch her and for the results of come tests she had recently.

Ask the Lord the the time they have left in the UK will be productive and they will be a blessing to those they come in contact with.

Urgent Prayer Needed

Christian just called from Oklahoma where he and Miguel have traveled to do some work with the H2O church. Apparently they are having extreme weather (sleet) and they were not able to make it to Arkansas today. They were to start filming in the morning and the place doing all of the filming is out of power! Please pray with us for clear weather, power to be restored, things to happen on schedule and for grace and patience for all involved.

Xochimilco

Pray for Lucy and the work in Xochimilco. This is an area of the city that is very difficult to witness in yet God is rising up a strong group of Christians there. Pray for continued fruit and for Techi who works with Lucy. Thank the Lord for the fruit from the events over the Christmas holiday.

Pray for proposed house churches in San Angel, Polanco y Santa Fe. Pray for the new people who have been visited that they may accept Jesus as their Savior and open their homes.

Pray for the house church leaders in Xochimilco. Ask for wisdom and grace for Arturo, Ororio, Adela, and Francisco. Pray for members of the house churches as they reach out to their families who don’t know Jesus.

Pray for the health concerns among the believers. Genoveva who also needs a job; for Peter who has back problems; Maria Elena’s husband has cancer; for Senora Luz; for Amelia; and for Javier for health and salvation.

There are many who have challenges in their jobs or who need to find work. Pray for Ivan, Ororio, Cirenia’s husband, and Laura.

Several people have fallen away and need encouragement to return to the Lord. Pray for Carlita, Elsa, and Claudia.

Monica’s husband is drinking heavily and does not want her to attend the house church. Pray for peace for Monica and salvation for her husband.

Pray for the Cosletts

coslettsPray with us for this new couple funding in the UK to come to Mexico. Please pray for wisdom about scheduling meetings. There are many opportunities.

Please pray for Steve working as a chaplain in the Royal Marines. Pray for energy and focus as he ministers to young men and families of those serving in Afghanistan,

Pray for Nisha as she grows. Ask the Lord to help her to sleep through the night thus giving her parents rest, too. Pray for wisdom and grace for Steve and Helen as they parent.

Pray for Helen as she returns to work for the hours she needs to maintain her nursing license. Pray that the transition will be smooth.

Ask the Lord for daily grace and excitement about serving Him. Pray for continued growth for them and for all missionaries serving in Mexico.

Cofradia/Izcalli

Praise the Lord for the work He has done in Terry. She had been very resistant to the Gospel but now is attending the “Experiencing God” study at Araceli’s and has experienced the life changing power of the Holy Spirit. She was giving encouragement to new comers at the last study.

Praise the Lord for the new area that is opening up for house churches. Adolfo Lopez Mateo is a difficult area and no contacts were found in the first two units. There were, however, three contacts in the third unit. One couple even asked the team to come in to pray.

Pray for 13 year old Maria Fernanda and her family. The doctors have confirmed that she has ovarian cancer. She is currently in chemotherapy. She and her mother, Norma, and grandfather, Roberto, recently accepted the Lord. Pray for healing, spiritual growth and comfort.

Salvador, ECC team member had the privilege of baptizing his sons, Juan Daniel and José Estéban this weekend. He asks that the Lord would encourage their hearts and help them to maintain a firm testimony in spite of difficult circumstances. His daughter, Fernanda, fell and broke her arm. Pray for quick healing.

Pray for Araceli and Carlos. They are struggling in their marriage. Pray that Carlos would be open to counseling. Araceli is one of our house church leaders.

Pray for those struggling economically these days. One company told their people that they were expected to work but they would not receive pay for one pay period (two weeks). Pray that their faith would be in the Lord and not in the economy.

Prayer Requests

Praise the Lord the Sta. Monica church found a new home close to their former location. Pray for the leadership and for growth in this new location.

Pray for the Mex-i-kids program starting this last weekend in Acapulco. The La Loma program has changed leadership. Pray this change and for much fruit from Mex-i-Kids.

Pray for wisdom as to where to best invest the resources from ECC International.

Pray for Joel moving from ECC leadership to pastoring in Tultitlan. Pray for growth spiritually and numerically.

José Juan, one of our seminary students, began working at Acapulco Center church. Praise the Lord for this help for Mario who has been pastoring both Center and Coloso. Pray for much growth for both churches.

Ask the Lord for wisdom for how to use the media project being piloted this month.

Pray for Colleen who is working with Bible studies in homes in Coacalco.

Ask the Lord for wisdom for the doctors as Paty, UNIFAM La Raza, undergoes tests.

Jorge who has been congregating at Sta. Monica has Leukemia. He recently accepted Christ. Ask the Lord for healing.

Prayer Requests

Praise the Lord for the restful weeks over Christmas.  Pray for renewed vision and strength as the work begins in earnest again this week.

Pray for students returning to seminary classes this week.  Pray for strength for Leroy and Kay as they direct the activities and for Pati, their right hand woman.

Ask the Lord for continued guidance for a new location of the Santa Monica church.

Pray for a job for Jorge, new husband of Laura of the Izcalli team.

Pray for the followup of those who accepted the Lord during the Christmas festivities.

Pray for safe travel for Margaret who is to return from the States where she has been helping clean out her aunt’s house.  Pray for the remaining work to be done there as she returns to the work in Mexico.
