Sherwoods

Sherwood familyPray for Dave and Jen and their daughters, Lizzy and Madison as they prepare to come to teach in the seminary. Dave is finishing writing his dissertation and is hoping to have it read in April to be able to graduate in December. Pray for the time and creativity needed to finish.

Pray for wisdom as to timing on selling their house. They are currently working on repairs due to a flood from a broken pipe. Jen is working full-time and working on getting the house sell ready. Pray for stamina for both Dave and Jen.

Pray also for their schedule. Pray that their travel dates can be close together to save travel time and expenses. Pray also for safety while traveling to enlist prayer and financial supporters.

Santa Elena

Praise God for the 37 people who were baptized yesterday from the Santa Elena, Coacalco and Tultitlan churches. Pray for their continued growth in Christ.

Pray for God’s guidance in the choosing of someone to supervise the house churches in Santa Elena.

Pray for Jaime who has an allergic reaction on his hands. Pray for quick healing and relief from the discomfort.

Missionary Prayer Requests

We praise the Lord for his care of Andrew and Tabitha as they were in a car accident. Both are well but pray for quick repairs on the car. We thank the Lord for good insurance.

Praise the Lord for the good response Robin and Margaret have had doing funding and visiting churches in Oklahoma. Pray now as they move on to New York state.

Praise God for a special event at the Santa Monica church in which several made decisions to follow Christ and a couple decided they want to remarry! Continue to pray for the follow up of these individuals.

Pray for oneness of vision and united hearts for the Izcalli/Cofradia team. Ask the Lord for wisdom and grace.

Pray for revival in the pastors of the UNIFAM churches, that we would have servant hearts, we would be servants of prayer, live by the Word of God and that the Holy Spirit would lead us.

Prayer Requests

We praise God for the excellent results of the Youth Encounter at the Campanario church. Pray now for the follow-up and for the many lives changed as a result of this weekend.

Pray for those who have heard the Gospel, have made a profession of faith yet who still live in the flesh. Ask the Lord to stir their hearts so they can be filled with His Spirit and learn to daily walk with Him.

Pray for the ECC workers as they prepare for Holy Week activities. Ask the Lord for much fruit.

Pray for unity within the ECC teams. Pray for those relationships to be strengthened and for the Lord to be glorified through them.

Robin and Margaret are currently in meetings in Oklahoma. Pray for their remaining meetings there and praise the Lord for the good results so far.

La Raza

In La Raza, praise God for the kids from La Raza and Juarez groups that are coming regularly. Numbers dropped off again at the beginning of week two. With the team restarting street visitation now that they are in a routine with the day program, we expect numbers to go up. Please pray for the regular kids who are attending that they will realize the danger that they live in and put their trust completely in Jesus.

Acapulco

Praise the Lord fo the safe arrival of a team from Indiana in Acapulco. During their first day of work they needed to take turns working and being in the shade becaused of the sun. They are working on a house church in the Renacimiento area and are confident the the job can be done with some modifications to the plan. Pray for stamina and flexibility for the team and that the believers in the Caravali house church will meet in their new meeting place this Friday.

Pray for the Coloso church as they start another Mex-i-Kids to reach out to children and their families. The club has opened opportunities to serve and have more presence in the area. Pray that many families will be contacted and that Pastor Mario will see much fruit in souls harvested.

Escuadron 201

The UNIFAM Escuadron 201 church is a small church in the south of the city. Pray for Pastor Cesar and Irma as they minister in this area.

Mex-i-kids started this month. Pray for this outreach into the community that it will not only reach the children but the parents as well.

Praise the Lord for the good attendance at the congregational meeting. Ask for wisdom as they plan for the future and form ministry teams. Pray for the training of these teams.

Pray for Valle de Chalco, Escuadron daughter church and the newest preaching point in Paraíso. Ask the Lord for fruit and growth and for wisdom for the mother church. Pray for God’s provision of chairs for Paraíso.

Missionary Prayer Requests

A team of deacons and elders has been elected in the Santa Monica church. Please pray for vision and unity for the team and the church.

Leroy (pastor at Santa Monica) and Kay, his wife, ask for prayer as they counsel dysfunctional and hurting families.

Decisions are being made as to how the ECC funding will be distributed for God’s glory this year. Pray for wisdom and unity.

A needs assessment has been completed for the seminary here (SEMBIMEX). Now we would appreciate prayer as a committee is named. This committee will draw up, implement and govern a strategic plan based on the needs presented.

MEFI (the ministry to street kids) is in full swing following the finishing of the remodelling to the Drop-In Center. Many kids from different groups have gone along to check it out. Please pray that the team will quickly build good relationships with the kids, that their hearts will be open to the gospel, that they will seek forgiveness for their sins and that they will carry the good news back to the groups they come from.

Urgent Prayer Needed

We received word yesterday that Erick was NOT released. It looks like he will be moved “inside” and that it will be at least six months before they can get him out. Bombard the gates of heaven for this young man. He has already been beaten and threatened with sexual abuse. He is blonde and fair and blue eyed, unusual for a Mexican and is small for his age. PRAY!!!!!!!!

Prayer Requests

Pray for Lucy (Xochimilco) visiting her mother in Peru. Ask the Lord that her mother would be well enough to travel to Mexico.

Continue to pray for someone to cover the house churches in Santa Elena. Benito was covering them but he is now full-time in the seminary.

Pray for David and Jen (candidates from Kentucky) for their health and for David’s doctoral thesis. Both have been fighting the flu.

Praise the Lord for the training Christian and Colleen received at Leader Link last week. Pray for the many things on their schedules now that they have returned.

Pray for Robin and Margaret as they finish packing up their home and work on their scheduling for time in the US. Both are struggling with bad colds.
