Because you prayed, the national assembly went very well. There was a great spirit of oneness and we believe God’s purposes were accomplished. Continue to pray for the new committee as they begin meeting.
Seminary classes start tomorrow (Tuesday). Pray for both teachers and students as they apply themselves to God’s Word.
Steve, Helen and Nisha have arrived in Costa Rica to begin language study. Pray for cultural adjustments and their studies.
Pray for Margaret and Robin as they search for a house. Pray for God’s guidance to the neighborhood He would have them live and minister in.
Pray for the assembly and for unity and vision as all the pastors, workers and missionaries join together for meetings. Ask for the Spirit of the Lord to rule in these days and bring revival, starting with us and reaching throughout Mexico City. The meetings run Wednesday - Friday.
Because you prayed Robin and Margaret have almost all their funds and are finishing their packing today and leaving tomorrow for Mexico. They arrive in time to attend the UNIFAM assembly.
There is much preparation for the general assembly that will take place next week. Pray for all that needs to be accomplished and for unity and direction for UNIFAM. Pray especially for President Miguel Romero.
Praise the Lord that Margaret is funded and scheduled to leave for Mexico next week. PRAY that the remaining $380 a month needed by Robin will come in this week so they can travel together and get back to the work!
Pray for continued contacts from the gel demonstrations in INFONAVIT NORTE and UNIDAD LOPEZ MATEOS. Ask that the Lord would open the door for Bible studies in these two areas and give wisdom as new contacts are established.
Pray for Daniel and Tania who are preparing for baptism.
Both Angeles and Carlos are in need of employment and for health for Armando.
Thank you for your prayers for Zoel, Carmen and Diana. Continue to uplift them as they plant churches in the Naucalpan area.
Pray for Sandra, Zoel’s wife as she is struggling with health issues. Pray too for Carmen’s aunt, María Refugia who is in serious condition in the hospital. The family appreciates your prayers that she would not suffer and the God would have his perfect way in her life.
Pray for those they minister to:
* For Lorena and Carlos and Monica and Manuel who are having family problems.
* For Ofelia who is suffering with cancer.
* For Maria de Jesús that God would continue to do His work in her and her family.
* That God would direct them to the location He has to plant a daughter church.
Please pray for Leslie ss he leaves his ministry with the Belfast City Mission at the end of the month and goes full time with OMS in support raising that the 30% needed will come in through meetings and from individuals. Pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of His people over these months as they trust the Lord they will be leaving Northern Ireland by January to go to Costa Rica for Spanish language study.
Pray too for Leslie’s mother. She still has no sight but is back home. Pray for bothe his parents.
Pray for Steve, Helen and Nisha as they prepare to leave the UK for language school in Costa Rica in the next month. Praise God for His sustaining grace and ask for continued grace as goodbyes are said and for all the details involved in making this kind of move.
Pray for Laura who has gallstones and is expecting her first baby. Pray that she will be able to control the symptoms with diet and that all goes well with the baby.
Pray for the Gel Campaign. There are two new contacts from López Mateos and they will be having demonstrations in two different schools with around 20 people attending each demonstration. Pray for more new contacts.
Lariza is planning an informal “tea” with ten women in September. Pray for just the right woman to share during this time.
Pray for the churches that Salvador is now supervising. Ask for wisdom as he gives leadership to theses house churches.
Praise God for two excellent youth camps. Many kids with no experience of church were invited by their friends and several trusted Christ. Many of those who are already Christians were challenged and responded with a desire to see God work in their circumstances and their future. Continue to pray that the teaching will stay with them as they return to their everyday situations.
Pray for little Ben’s health. He had a double ear infection and some stomach trouble.
Continue to seek God’s perfect will to be seen and accepted in our annual assembly of church leaders at the end of August (26th -28th). They will be voting for the national president and church board. Pray that the right people will be voted into position.
Pray for Leroy and Kay in Venezuela teaching from August 10-14.
Pray for Joe Cavanagh, our extreme walker, as he settles into his language school and his home here in Mexico. Pray that he will quickly be able to grasp the language and begin putting it into practice.
Praise God for Helena Lavers who has been here for several months and has seen God work in and through her life. Pray that the impact of her time here will stay with her as she travels back to England and prepares for her next stage at university.
Please pray for Robin and Margaret’s Mexican mom who is going to have surgery tomorrow to remove a melanoma. Pray for Margarita, her husband Ernesto and all her daughters. Pray too for wisdom for the family as Mama doesn’t want to have any radiation or chemo following the surgery.
Continue to Praise God for the many valuable lives that have been touched with the gospel through the VBS groups over the summer. Praise Him too for the faithful and consistent effort of so many people involved. Pray that the seed planted will take root and bear fruit.
On August 15 the second yearly payment is due on the property at Coacalco. All of the established churches are contributing to this but there is still quite a shortfall. Pray that God will provide the money and increase the faith of all involved.
Pray for our church leaders as we move toward our annual church assembly meetings at the end of August. Pray for unity, passion and vision as decisions and plans are made for the future.
Pray for Leroy as he leads the ministry team in the Viveros church through some difficult issues. Pray for wisdom for him and for humility and Christlikeness in the team.
Pray for the VBS groups that are still to take place during the month of August, that God will continue to move in a mighty way bringing people to Himself.
Pray for Margaret and Robin as they still have some funds to raise and cannot leave until those funds are raised. Pray for the contacts necessary to get the necessary funds. They still want to arrive in Mexico by mid-August. Pray that they will find a house and settle back quickly to life and ministry here.
Pray for Leroy and Kay as they prepare for a trip to Venezuela mid-august. Pray that the Lord will direct their thoughts as they plan.
Pray for the Sherwoods, and the Gentrys as they work to set up their fall schedule for speaking and fund raising. Ask for wisdom and great opportunities.
