Prayer Requests

The end of October and first of November brings many celebrations of the Day of the Dead. Pray for the churches as they teach and have alternative programs especially for the children. Pray for those searching in these days that they would find peace not death.

Rich and Anita arrive on Tuesday to work with the ECC teams. Pray for their schedule and for good communication and for encouragement for the teams.

Pray for Julies’ parents, Steve and Linda visiting from Northern Ireland here to celebrate Ben’s first birthday and to help Jonny and Julie pack.

Pray for Jonny and Julie as they pack up their things and make preparations for their return home.

Xochimilco

Pray for the group of women in Xochimilco who are all undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Pray for Fidelina, María, Mónica, Susana, María Eugenia, Ruth, Maribel, Lilia, Graciela, María del Rosario, Claudia, Sirenia, Gloria and Genoverva. AL have made a profession of faith. Ask the Lord who is the Great Physician to touch each one of these his daughters.

Cofradia/Izcalli

We praise God for Jonathan and Salvador as they continue to labor in the harvest. Pray for much fruit as they share the Word with others.

Pray for Jonathan as he disciples young men and women. Pray for his wife Cleide and their children Samuel, Sarah and Andre as they accompany him.

Pray for the plans Salvador has as he evangelizes during the rest of this year. Pray he will continue to be a valient soldier for Jesus. Ask the Lord of the harvest for more homes to be open for Bible studies. Pray that the Gospels of John that have been handed out will be read and that the Word would not return void.

Pray for Javier’s job as the business he works for is very close to declaring bankruptcy. Pray that if this happens, he will be able to find another job to support his family.

Pray for Alfredo. Ask that God will soften his heart to open it to Him. Pray for stability in his job and for better communication between Alfredo and his wife.

Pray for young Valeria that she will have good friends at school and that God would increase her hunger for the Word.

Pray for the families who were working in the electrical district who now have no job but are continuing being trained in church multiplication.

Pray for growth in the house church in Beristain, Puebla about 2 hours south of the city. Pray for Milquiades and Angelica as they have opened their home.

Praise the Lord for Araceli, Abimelec, Jose and Mario, all young professionals, who have committed to be trained in church multiplication. Pray for them as they learn and grow in the Lord.

Prayer Requests

Praise God for the Campanario women’s retreat this last weekend. Pray that the work begun in the hearts of the ladies will continue.

Leroy and Kay are in the US speaking at several conferences and visiting family. Pray for a good visit and for them to be able to raise additional funds for their support account.

Praise the Lord, Andrew and Carol have arrived safely in the UK and are getting settled in their home. Pray for them as they travel around reporting to supporters about how God used them in Mexico.

Praise the Lord that Troy and Jen’s family are healthy again. Pray for them as they are raising funds to come to Mexico to work in church planting.

Pray for Colleen attending a retreat this week. Ask the Lord to renew her body, mind and soul. Pray too for wisdom and strength as our team leader.

Pray for easy of learning and understanding for Steve and Helen as they study Spanish in Costa Rica.

Pray for Jonny and Julie as they begin to pack things up as they end their time here in Mexico.

Naucalpan

Pray for Zoel’s wife, Sandra who has been in the hospital with a high risk pregnancy. His son Levi is having trouble with his eyes and will be getting very strong glasses. Pray for their economic situation as well, that God will provide for their needs.

Diana asks for pray for her mother as she recuperates and for her sister Emma who has not been well lately.

Pray for the house church in Urano. The children have stopped coming because of a misunderstanding about offering. Pray as the team works to clarify this and that the parents will allow the children to return to worship.

For the house church in Chamapa that they will understand that their commitment is with God not with man and that only in this way can they have a strong church.

Pray for Katy, lay leader in the Caracol church as she gives the lessons and makes plans in this neighborhood.

The work in Olimpica has begun again but unfortunately no new people have come. Many of the neighbors voiced opposition. Pray with us, please, that the Lord will touch hearts in this neighborhood. Pray for Patricia and Israel that God would heal them spiritually and they would understand their need for Him. Many are fighting alcoholism. Pray for Teodora and her husband that she will continue to grow and that he will have victory over alcohol. Their daughter, Leticia, will sometimes not speak with her mother because she is a believer.

Strong leaders are needed in the San Juan area. Pray for the outreach happening in this area.

Pray for Maria de Jesus from Poza Honda. Pray for God’s healing touch on her and that God will continue to work in her life.

Pray for Monica as she would like to learn more about the Gospel. Pray for her husband as he worships death. Pray that God would break these chains of bondage.

Pray for Monica and Manuel from Texcoco as God continues to restore their marriage. They have decided to be baptized. Pray that God will continue to work in their hearts. Pray too for the construction on their home for the necessary funds and that they will invite their neighbors to the services.

We began training for the lay leaders in El Puente. Pray for understanding and for those who have decided to be baptized.

Many of the believers in El Molino sell products on the street and this limits their time for service and training. Pray that they will be willing to pay the price to follow Christ and this church won’t be closed.

In each house church, we are showing a movie about death, explaining the significance of Halloween and Day of the Dead. We pray that God will work in the lives of the people who have heard.

On November 14, we will be having an evangelistic campaign in Revolution Park in conjunction with the Campanario team. Pray for us and those from the churches who will be participating.

Cofradia/Izcalli

Salvador asks us to pray for more contacts with whom he can share Christ. Pray for more open doors for Bible study and for the antibacterial gel project in the schools. Pray that the men who have received the gospels of John will make contact and want to learn more.

The coming months also bring lots of plans. Pray for wisdom as Salvador prepared to preach at Santa Monica on November 29 and for finalization of the plans for December in López Mateos.

Continue to uplift Lucila as she takes the basic truths class in preparation for baptism.

Pray that Lissette’s husband’s heart will be softened and that he will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Continue to lift up her business.

The economic situation in Mexico continues to be difficult. Pray the Lord will bless Alejandro and Javier in their work.

Prayer Requests

With much regret we say adios to Andrew and Carol who will be leaving with their precious family this week. We wish them God blessing as they accept a position doing much the same work in the UK as they have been doing here. Pray for their transition and for us staying behind. They will be greatly missed. Pray for much fruit from ministries they developed here and for the ones they will be working on in Scotland.

Jose and a team arrive from Texas this week for a vision tour. Pray for safety and a clear vision of what God is doing here in Mexico.

Pray for the ECC and UNIFAM Committees. Pray for wisdom as they listen, evaluate, supervise and communicate all that is decided, effectively to the ECC workers and UNIFAM churches. Pray that their decisions will be made after much prayer and that the decisions would be a blessing to all and that the church would see growth.

Pray for Troy and Jenny and family who have been experiencing much sickness lately. Ask the Great Physician to reach down and restore their health.

Pray for Steve, Helen and Nisha studying Spanish in Costa Rica.

Xochimilco

Pray for Lucy who has just returned from Peru where she spoke at her mother’s memorial. Many accepted the Lord after she spoke. Pray for God’s comfort as she morns her mother’s passing.

Pray for Carmen, new member of the team, who had a small growth removed from her arm. Ask for complete healing.

There are 18 women meeting on Mondays in the office. All 18 have been have been treated for breast cancer and are in various stages of recovery. All have accepted the Lord and are meeting together for Bible Study and encouragement.

We thank the Lord for Techi and her work in Xochimilco. Pray for her husband and son who are not believers. Ask the Lord for much fruit for the labor there in this area of Mexico City.

Campanario

Pray for the Campanario ECC team that they will remain firm in their efforts to share the Gospel. Ask the Lord to encourage their hearts, strengthen their resolve and give them fruit for their labors.

Pray for Jorge who has pneumonia and hepatitis. He is unable to have visitors in the hospital.

Pray for Raul that the Lord of Glory will liberate him from practicing magic and from his attachments to idols.

Ask the Lord to touch Leó heart so that he will not only allow his wife to study the Word but that he would be interested in studying as well.

Pray for young Alejandra that the Lord would soften her spirit and help her in her relationship with her mom.

Blanca y Jesus are struggling in their marriage. Ask the Lord who is love to work in their relationship.

Cofradia/Izcalli

Pray for wisdom for Salvador as he gives counsel to those who need it. Pray that God will open more houses in which to have Bible studies. Pray for the evangelistic events and projects for October, November, and December 2009. Pray that God would help the project “Men Only” progress. Salvador has had contact with 16 men so far. Pray for wisdom for Salvador as he teaches a Sunday School class at UNIFAM Izcalli. The course is entitled “The 400 years between the Old and New Testaments”. The class begins on October 18. Pray that God would give Salvador opportunities to share His love with others.

Pray for Javier’s job situation. It has been somewhat unstable. Pray that he won’t lose his job.

Pray for wisdom for Pablo as he works as a representative in the local government.

Pray for Lissette’s business, that there would be more clients and there would be enough sold to support her family. Pray that her husband would open his heart to the Gospel.

Continue to uphold Lucila as she prepares for baptism.

Pray for more customers in Alejandro’s business so that he will not have to lay off employees.
