Prayer Requests

We praise the Lord for the safe delivery of Valeria, newest member of Pastor Alexis and Alicia’s family. She was born Sunday morning, December 20 and weighed in at around 9 lbs. She joins brothers Esteban and Dan and sister Andrea.

Pray for the special evangelistic services in our churches. Praise the Lord for the Good News that has been shared in the last few weeks. Ask for much fruit.

Pray for the pastors, workers and missionaries who will be taking a rest between Christmas and New Year’s. Pray it will be a good time with family and friends. Pray for those traveling to be with family.

Be in prayer for Steve, Helen and Nisha, Leslie, Brenda, Darina and Liam as they spend their first Christmas away from family. Pray for their Spanish studies in Costa Rica.

Pray for the VBS in San Pablo Autopan area of Toluca, December 27-29. Pray this will be a time of growth and encouragement for the house church there.

Pray for the ECC worker training on January 5. Ask the Lord to give wisdom, guidance to His plans for 2010.

Pray for Joshua, son of Christian and Robin, former Mexico missionaries. He is having surgery on Wednesday, Dec 23rd to have an ear drum reconstructed.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for standing with us. Your prayers make a difference. The author of this blog will be on vacation next week and so there will be no post until the new year. We are praying that God will richly bless you during the time.

Cofradia/Izcalli

Salvador asks for wisdom as he looks for new ways to share the Gospel and plans for 2010. Pray for those who have received the Gospel of John that has been handed out in this needy area.

Pray for Vicky as she is becoming discouraged as leader of a house church. Ask the Lord for peace and a new passion for her neighbors, friends and family.

Pray for Araceli who is also struggling to remain firm as she leads a house church and is studying in the seminary.

Aranza is in need of a job. Pray that her heart will be soften to the Word and that she will listen to the voice of Jesus. Pray for her daughter, Virdiana, as she studies and looks for the Lord. Her other daughter Regina needs a physical touch from the Lord for healing to be able to speak.

Ask for wisdom for Pablo and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as he legislates with justice.

Pray for salvation for Alejandra. Pray that someone will share the Gospel with her.

Ask the Lord to help Alejandro organize his time better so that he can be in the Word on a regular basis.

Pray for salvation for Carla and for peace as she provides for the needs of her daughters.

Pray for Esther who is struggling with her attitude on the job and it is hurting her testimony.

Ask the Lord to continue to touch Carlos physically and to help him to remain strong in his daily walk.

Pray for a the doors to continue to open for a new job for Jorge. Pray for a safe, yet early delivery of his and Laura’s daughter this week. (Laura worked on the Cofra team for 2 years and they are anticipating delivery any day now, a month early, as Laura is loosing amniotic fluid.)

Pray for health for Ramon.

Gerardo needs a job but is wandering from the Lord. Pray he will return to the right path.

Praise the Lord that Javier is still employed. Pray he will continue to grow in the the Lord and be in the Word.

Prayer Requests

There will be no blog for the week of December 28th but do be in prayer for a restful vacation for the missionaries, pastors and workers during this time. We do so appreciate you standing in the gap with us.

Please pray for Ernesto, pastor of one of our church plants, father of one of our seminary professors, and adoptive “papa” to Margaret and Robin. He has been diagnozed with a tumor in the liver and pancreas.

Please pray for the quick sale of the car Robin used on her recent home assignment. It is difficult making car payments and paying insurance on a car not in use.

Continue to pray for housing for Joe. He is still staying in the guest facilities but it is a long commute. Pray for God’s perfect place for him. Praise the Lord for the way he is fitting in with the La Raza team.

Bathe the Santa Monica church with prayer. They are going through major growing pains and need God’s direction. Pray for finanaces as they are unable to meet the rent in their current building. Pray for healing of relationships because of misunderstandings. Pray for direction as they search for a pastor to take over in August.

We praise God for the growth of the people in Marina National. Continue to pray for the rest of the family members to come to know the Lord in a personal way and for their outreach with their neighbors.

Praise the Lord for those baptized in Campanario this weekend. Pray they will continue to grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Praise the Lord the Leslie, Brenda and family have arrived in Costa Rica to begin language study. Pray for their adjustments and for clearn understand of the language for Leslie.

Praise the Lord for the excellent marks Steve received on his exams in Spanish. Continue to pray for him, Helen and Nisha as they are away from family during this holiday season.

Pray for our candidates who are still funding. Pray for Nick and Lisa, Dave and Jen, and Troy and Jenny.

Ask the Lord for direction as we seek to hire new people to work with ECC. The harvest is great but the workers are few.

Escuadron 201

Pray for Cesar and Irma as they work tirelessly in this needy area of the city. Pray for Irma’s mom who is in need of a touch from the Great Physician. Pray for guidance and wisdom as they balance the responsibilities of family and ministry. Praise the Lord that their children Judith and David are doing well.

Pray. too, for Irma’s brother, Jorge, who is having seizures and the doctors can find no cause for them.

Noe and Veronica are new believers who are being tested at this time. Noe has been accused of various crimes. Pray for grace, mercy and justice.

Ask the Lord for wisdom as they seek to expand the church in Escuadron. Pray that the people will be have a deeper commitment to the Lord and to the growth of His kingdom.

Pray for the church plant in Paraiso. Ask the Lord for more people to be involved

Coacalco ECC

Praise the Lord for the special service yesterday where many couples renewed their wedding vows. Pray for strong marriages in our churches.

Praise the Lord for the three lay leaders working part-time in the work. Pray for Cesar, Abel and Ricardo.

Thank you for your prayers for Alejandro and his family. His parents are very encouraged.

Praise the Lord for the 35 lay leaders who were trained over the last few weekends. Pray for much fruit from this training.

Pray for Socorro who will have a wisdom tooth surgically removed tomorrow, December 15th.

Be in pray now for the team coming from Oklahoma in February to work on classrooms for the training center for the church.

Pray for the end of the year events in all 14 house churches. Pray as the Gospel will be presented on all of these occassions.

Pray for the evangelistic outreach planned for the AA groups. Pray that many hurting hearts will be healed.

Many of the lay leaders in the house churches are experiencing attacks. Ask the Lord to put a hedge of protection around them and keep them stong in Him.

Praise the Lord for the three house churches who will be beginning 2nd generation groups in January.

Pray for the evangelistic outreach of the children’s soccer ministry.

Prayer Requests

We praise God for His healing touch on Paty and Carlos after their accidents. Both were in church yesterday and thanking God for His presence in their lives.

We praise the Lord for the decisions made this weekend and the evangelistic outreaches taking place. Pray for the presentation of the Gospel being made this week in the English classes.

Pray for the nation of Mexico especially this week as hearts are turned toward the celebrations for the Virgin of Guadalupe.

This week preparations for the many Christmas programs continue. Pray that hearts will be open and lives will be changed through theses outreaches.

Pray for the Miguel, Alexis, Cheli, Zoel, and Diana as they left today on an UNIFAM/ECC vision trip to Tabasco and Chiapas in southern Mexico. Pray for journeying mercies and for wisdom and clear direction from the Lord as to how to proceed in these areas.

Continue to pray for Isabel and Guille as they still struggle with grief over the loss of son and grandson. Pray especially for Isabel as she is experiencing some postpartum.

UPDATE on Miriam: Surgery was postponed. Continue to pray for healing.

Cofradia/Izcalli

Pray for those who heard the good news at the evangelistic outreach last week. Pray for Salvador as he works on follow-up.

Continue to pray for open doors in the UALM area of Cofradia.

Pray that the Lord will use the problems that Griselda is having with her neighbors as a means to bring them to Him

Ask the Lord to put a hedge of protection around Pablo so that he will not be contaminated by the corruption all around him at his work.

Rodolfo asks for peace and wisdom as he faces unjust charges at work. Pray that he will maintain his witness throughout this process.

Salvador has an appointment to share with Carla this week. Pray for God’s touch on her life and her daughters Aranza, Viridiana and Regina. Regina is two and is unable to speak. Ask for healing for this little girl.

Ask the Lord to put someone in Alejandra’s life who will speak to her about the Lord.

Naucalpan ECC

Pray for the house church in Poza-hondo. They are thinking of changing their service to Saturday and have not been very consistent because of Maria de Jesús’s therapy. Pray for that this change will be for the better and for God’s healing touch on Maria.

The hostess of this house church is Concepción and she asks for pray for her hasbands diabetes. Mónica is a potential leader for this church and is eager to learn. Pray for her husband who worships “Holy Death” a very large cult here in Mexico

Continue to pray for healing for María de Jesus. She is scheduled for surgery on her cranium to see if they can relieve some of the pressure on her brain. She fell from a billboard and has been paralyzed.

Pray for God’s touch on José Luis, Maria’s son. Ask that he will come to know Jesus in a very real way. Pray, too, for salvation for the rest of the family.

We praise the Lord that the Texcoco house church host and hostess were baptized yesterday! Pray that the person they share and entrance to the property with will come to know Jesus and allow access to their house. It is difficult to grow because of the limited access.

Pray for Luis, 15 whose mother left with his sisters and left him with his dad. He is feeling abandoned and doesn’t understand why she left. When the team went and prayed with them last week Luis told his aunt that he felt something his heart even though he didn’t pray to recieve Christ. Ask the Lord to bring Luis to him and heal his broken heart.

Pray for Teresa Lara who is being sexually harassed at work. She is asking the Lord to provide different employment for her. Pray, too, for her 13 year old children who are studying and going to school

Pray for the touch of the Great Physician on Esperanza who will be having surgery to remove a tumor in her stomach. Pray that God will use this to bring her back to Him.

Prayer Request

Please be in prayer for Miriam, member of the Campanario church who is having surgery today. Her husband Juan Carlos is a student in the seminary and they are active in the church. Continue to pray for their daughter Ana who is responding well to treatment.

Thank you for your prayers for Carlos. He is home and recuperating.

We praise the Lord that Paty, seminary librarian is back at work and doing well. Pray for continued healing of her neck.
