OMS Spain Prayer Blog

Dear Family

 We are praying you into God’s blessings set out in the book of Revelation as you go into AD2009 with us and all God’s people.  It was notable that change was a major feature for Spain and OMS Spain in 2008 - the kind of change was varied, interesting and challenging. For 2009 and beyond we are praying you into the spirit of Psalm 46 not only to survive the many changes that will come, but to master them for his glory.

We’d like to ask someone to give us a pointer to a Christian ministry that we came into contact with in London 2 days ago. We found ourselves at the Head Office of REMAR UK, part of the REMAR International ministry.  We note that this ministry was founded in Spain about 30 years ago - how is this work viewed in Spain?  Is it known as a Godly, spiritual and evangelical work? We ask because we are looking for such a work in the West of England to place recovering drug addicts and alcoholics.  It would be helpful to find out as much as we can before we proceed - Thanking you in anticipation of your response.

We pray that you, Cathy and Leo will be blessed in the maintenance of this blogsite as a key instrument of communications for the field.

Hello Family,

It’s been great to have such a flow of communications from many sources about your lives and works in Spain e.g. from the Blog itself/from Dick and the team in OMS, Greenwood/OMS UK/individual prayer letters and phone calls etc.  Please be assured that your voices are not only being heard by The Lord but by the concerned pray-ers that He has raised up to support you in His work.  For instance several prayer summaries have gone out recently to inform people’s praying.

May we covet your prayers as we seek to discern The Lord’s will in respect of running a Prayer Walk at the end of May 2009. A detailed survey sheet about this has been sent out to canvass peoples’ views especially about their probable participation - so far we have had one confirmed reply.  As an achievable goal we would like to plan the outline details of this event with Paul Cox when he comes to the OMS UK Convention at the end of November.  Please pray that we would get timely clarity from The Lord’s people as to what we should be doing. (Shortly we will send out the survey again).

Qué bueno ha sido tener comunicación de tantas fuentes sobre vuestras vidas y obra en España del Blog mismo/Ricardo y el equipo de OMS Greenwood/OMS UK/ cartas de oración individuales y llamadas etc.… Por favor sentíos  seguros porque vuestras voces no sólo las oye el Señor, sino también los oradores que Él ha levantado para apoyaros en Su obra.  Por ejemplo recientemente hemos enviado varios resúmenes de oración para informar a los  que oran.

Pedimos vuestras oraciones en saber la voluntad de Señor con el Camino de Oración  a finales del Mayo 2009.  Hemos mandado un cuestionario para preguntar sobre participación y perspectiva—y hemos recibido una confirmación.  Como una meta alcanzable nos gustaría planear los detalles con Pablo Cox durante la convención de OMS UK a finales de Noviembre.  Orad para que recibamos claridad para saber lo que debemos hacer. (Pronto mandaremos el cuestionario de nuevo.)

Les gustaría que Angel, su yerno, que necesita un riñón, y está a la espera de un transplante, sea operado cuanto antes. Pero damos gracias a Dios porque ha subido puestos en la lista de espera.

También piden oración por su hija Audrey. Ella acaba de llegar a España y se encuentra en estos momentos tramitando los papeles para poder trabajar en Madrid. Piden porque el proceso sea rápido y ella pueda trabajar en breve.

Pray for Angel, our son-in-law, who needs a new kidney.  Currently, he is on the waiting list here in Madrid.  Pray for a new kidney and successful operation!  We give God thanks for having put Angel’s name higher up on the list. 

We also ask that you pray for our daugther Audrey.  She recently returned with us and is now submitting the paperwork needed to be able to get her work permit.  Pray for quick resolution regarding this issue.   

Pide oración por su labor dentro del equipo, para que Dios la de luz y sabiduría y continúe así haciendo un excelente servicio.

Meredith asks for prayer with regard to her work in Cobeña.  Pray for God to grant her wisdom as she continues her work in that area.

La persona que estaba en el piso de Madrid se va a Alemania inesperadamente, y nos urge que otra persona lo ocupe, porque nosotros dependemos económicamente de ello. Asique nos gustaría que oráseis porque encontremos una persona de confianza.

The person that was living in our apartment has to leave for Germany without much notice.  And we have a sense of urgency about having someone live there because financially we depend on that income.  So, please pray that we’ll find a trustworthy soul to rent the apartment. -Antonio and Leo
